Five big Metros are publishing New General Valuation Rolls (as well as several smaller Municipalities) in the next few months:-
• Tshwane (Pretoria)
• Ekurhuleni (East Rand)
• eThekwini (Durban)
• Nelson Mandela Bay (Port Elizabeth)
• Manguang (Bloemfontein)
These Rolls will be open for inspection and objection for at least 30 days. Although, by law, the municipality is required to notify you, the property owner, these notices often do not reach the owners.
Because of recent negative media publicity concerning low values in their Rolls, municipalities will be hyper sensitive and we are expecting high values – BEWARE!!!
